Specter 700 V2 Nick Maxwell Edition (NME) Nitro RC Helicopter from XL Power delivers unique innovation to the nitro scene by improving simplicity and reliability. The heart of the heli is built around the clutch stack system that features unique design points that aid in providing engine alignment that is simple and doesn't require complex tools to get perfect. The tapered joints found in the clutch stack ensure a smooth and low vibration environment during operation. In addition to this, servicing the engine is also a breeze thanks to the ability of the engine being removable from the bottom without dis-assembling other parts. Lastly, the fan shroud also shares this same concept, and each side can be removed from the frame as well.
The Specter Nitro shares many parts with the Specter 700V2 electric airframe, such as the 7075 aluminum rotor head and tail rotor system. The stronger 7075 black anodized aluminum rotor head and tail rotor system, a 1:1 swash to rotor head geometry that offers simple set up and improved cyclic behavior, a conical tail shaft and tail hub that improve tail rotor symmetry and balance, updated tail blade grip bearing stack, a quick assembly tail control linkage rod that does not require glue, heavy duty main gear. All of these updates were born from the desire for better performance as well as ease of life that add to the already solid foundation of the highly successful XL Power Specter 700V2 airframe.
The direct drive gear train offers peak power via incredible airframe rigidity, a heavy duty sprag one way system, and dual support clutch system ensures not only an amazing performing model, but a healthy model due to increased bearing lifespan and overall engine performance.
