The Serpent SRX8-E PRO 1/8 Off-Road Electric Buggy Kit has been vastly improved with updates to make it a dominating force on the RC track. The SRX8-E has been an extremely successful platform and now features the next level of innovation utilizing many specific parts produced for the SRX8 line of cars. With these updated parts the SRX8-E PRO is easier than ever to drive and able to lay down some serious lap times.

About the SRX8-E Pro Kit

Main Chassis Design

The main chassis is built from 4mm thick 7075-T6 aluminum giving you a solid foundation to build from. Key cutouts from the chassis keep the weight low while adding controlled chassis flex for better traction. This machining also keeps the weight of the chassis lower to the ground helping to prevent traction rolls and give you more stability during long jumps.

Durable Drivetrain

The full metal drivetrain is designed to efficiently transmit the power directly to the ground. High volume differentials add consistency to the drivetrain and help transfer power to where you need. The differential internals are full metal and use a Mod 1.5 gear pitch for increased strength. The center front driveshaft is made aluminum while the center rear shaft is made of spring steel. This combination allows for a lightweight and extremely durable drivetrain.

Performance Suspension

The core design of the SRX8-E focuses on drivability. The updated caster blocks come in 15, 17.5, and 19 degrees and bolt up to the updated spindles. These two parts ensure the suspension geometry does not change. Huge, 16mm shocks have also been updated to be almost friction-free and remain sealed throughout your run. This kit uses Serpent's "Pro" Emulsion shock caps to improve the suspension dampening. 6-Hole Delrin shock pistons are also included to improve shock movement further.
