Design

The Losi 8IGHT-XTE 1/8 4WD Electric Brushless Ready-To-Run Race Truggy stands out with a meticulously engineered design rooted in the ROAR National Championship-winning TLR 8IGHT-X platform. The truggy boasts a longer wheelbase, wider stance, and massive 5.5-inch tires, offering enhanced stability and control. Its fully race-legal chassis, constructed from 4mm thick aluminum, provides a robust and stable foundation essential for enduring the rigors of competitive racing. The truggy's Pro-Line Racing OE-Spec Axis 8IGHT-XTE body is left clear for customization, allowing drivers to personalize their vehicles with distinctive colors. The 8IGHT-XTE truggy's drivetrain is engineered for exceptional durability and performance. Featuring a full metal driveline, the truggy includes heat-treated steel components such as the axles, ring and pinion, and main center spur gear, ensuring it can withstand the demands of the toughest tracks. The vehicle is equipped with fluid-filled, sealed differentials in the front, center, and rear, which allow each tire to drive independently, delivering maximum traction and adaptability to various track conditions. Additionally, the aluminum oil-filled shocks, shock towers, and adjustable steel turnbuckles enable precise tuning of the suspension dynamics, ride height, camber, and toe, ensuring the truggy remains glued to the track and responsive to the driver’s input.

Innovative & Powerful Electronics

At the heart of the 8IGHT-XTE’s performance is its innovative Spektrum sensored brushless system, which includes a 130A ESC and a 2250Kv motor. This system allows for seamless communication between the motor and ESC, providing smooth and precise control across the entire power band, and eliminating the cogging or stuttering typical of Sensorless motors. The included Spektrum DX3 2.4GHz Smart DSMR transmitter features throttle limiting functions, making it ideal for novice racers who can limit the truggy’s top speed as they learn. Additionally, the transmitter’s Smart battery level indicator helps drivers monitor their battery capacity in real-time. The robust Spektrum S665 waterproof steering servo, with its high torque and fast transit time, ensures reliable and responsive steering, while the Spektrum SR315 receiver allows for enhanced precision and the option for wireless tuning of on-board electronics.
